SPH did not start with beer. It started with land. The name is carried forward from SPH Agro, our agricultural roots spread across Maharashtra since 2006.

Respect for the raw material

When you have spent two decades close to the soil and the seasons, grain stops being an abstraction on a spec sheet. You know what goes into growing it, and you treat it accordingly. That respect for the raw material, and for the people who grow and drink it, is where our brewing starts.

We did not come to beer from marketing. We came to it from farming.

It shows in the beer

It shows in how we source and handle ingredients, and in a stubborn preference for doing things properly rather than quickly. Good beer is an agricultural product first and a brand second. We try never to forget the order.
